ISSUES AND CONCERNS

1. The sanctity of life and the protection of the unborn.

2. Preserving the traditional definition of the family as a male and female in which the two are committed to each other in a loving and married relationship. This concern may include such issues as: hate crimes legislation, provision of benefits to partners of the same gender, and the teaching of tolerance for homosexual relationships in any learning or teaching setting in the public arena using public funds, whether to children or adults.

3. The rights of parents in rearing their own children in accordance with their own belief system, in choosing the teaching of their children, and in maintaining control over what their children learn and what their children are encouraged to do.

4. The limitation of pornographic materials that is available to the public and the limitation and control of sexually oriented businesses in the state.

5. The limitation and/or elimination of gambling in all forms in the state of West Virginia.

6. The provision of tuition tax credits to those parents who choose a private school education for their own children.

7. The opposition of all efforts to introduce euthanasia as a means of medical care for senior citizens.
